Prior to his successes at IndigoVision, Bill founded Vysion Systems Inc. in 1988. The company became one of the most respected systems integrators in Canada. Vysion Systems was instrumental in the design; supply of one of the largest networked video systems in the world for Bell Canada in 1992. Vysion Systems' attention to detail, company culture and talent was unmatched in the industry. As a result, the company was acquired by Checkpoint Systems Inc. in 1997. Bill served as Director of Technology Development for three years.
Bill is widely recognized for his strong work ethic, honesty, integrity and passion for doing things well. He has lectured on best practices in end-to-end video measurements, and given many presentations on the importance of video quality in the security industry. Bill was part of the advisory committee in developing ULC-S317-96 Installation and Classification of Closed Circuit Video Equipment Systems for Institutional and Commercial Security Applications.
Bill is board certified in Security Management and one of only three hundred and twenty people in Canada who have achieved the standard of Certified Protection Professional (CPP). This select group of professionals has demonstrated competency in the area of protecting people, property and information assets with best-business practices through an intensive qualification and testing program.
